Sophos ARCH-EP Course


Overview

This course provides an in-depth study of Sophos Enduser Protection, designed for experienced technical professionals who will be planning, installing, configuring and supporting deployments in production environments.
The course is intended to be delivered in a classroom setting, and consists of presentations and practical lab exercises to reinforce the taught content. Printed copies of the supporting documents for the course will be provided to each trainee.
If the course is being taught via webinar then the documents will be sent electronically to the trainees, who are encouraged to print them out to keep as a reference.
Due to the nature of delivery, and the varying experiences of the trainees, open discussion is encouraged during the training.
The course lasts 3 days (24 hours), of which approximately 9 hours will be spent on the practical exercises.

Prerequisites

Prior to attending this course, trainees should pass the EA10a Assessment – Certified Engineer – Enduser Protection
In addition you should have:
  • Installed and used Sophos Enduser Protection in a demonstration or test environment
  • Experience of Windows networking and the ability to troubleshoot issues
  • A good understanding of IT security to CompTIA Security+ level or higher
  • Experience of configuring Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • Experience of installing and configuring Microsoft SQL Server
It is desirable that you have:
  • Experience using the Linux command line for common tasks
  • Experience installing and configuring a proxy
  • Knowledge of basic SQL commands
  • Experience of configuring Active Directory Group Policies
